Sanjeev Kapoor's Wonderchef raised Rs 40 crore from French investor Labruyere Eberle

Sanjeev Kapoor's Wonderchef raised Rs 40 crore from French group Labruyere Eberle. Wonderchef is a kitchen appliance and cookware brand. Wonderchef managing director Ravi Saxena said We are looking at opening our own factory by the end of the year, which will cater to 40% of our manufacturing, and expand our new category of large appliance and penetrate into new markets. He also said, the French group is looking at doubling its stake in the company to 8-10% with further investments.

Wonderchef founded in 2009 sells premium kitchen appliances, cookware and bakeware products.

Wonderchef had received Rs 30 crore funding from Zurich-headquartered investment firm Capvent.

Vincent Labruyere, CEO of Labruyere Eberle said We want to focus our investments towards growing companies in consumer goods industry in India and Wonderchef perfectly fits with this strategy.
