Flipkart acquired eBay India and raised $1.4 billion from Tencent, eBay and Microsoft

Flipkart has acquired eBay India. In exchange for an equity stake in Flipkart, US-based eBay will make a $500 million cash investment and sell its eBay.in business to Flipkart. Flipkart will own and operate eBay.in business upon close of transaction.

eBay is making cash investment in and selling its eBay.in business to Flipkart. eBay.in will continue to operate as an independent entity as a part of Flipkart.
