Uber stopped its service in Denmark

Taxi service company Uber Technologies has stopped its services in Denmark after running for 3 years due to a taxi law that sets out new requirements for drivers such as mandatory fare metres. Uber said it would shut down its services in Denmark on April 18 due to the new law.

Uber was having 2000 drivers and 300,000 riders were using its APP.

Uber also said, For us to operate in Denmark again the proposed regulations need to change. We will continue to work with the government in the hope that they will update their proposed regulations and enable Danes to enjoy the benefits of modern technologies like Uber.
