Salesforce set to acquire startups in Bangalore and Hyderabad



Cloud computing company Salesforce set to acquire startups in Bangalore and Hyderabad in India. It focuses on startups working on machine learning, deep learning big data and infrastructure engineering, as it encourages entrepreneurs to build products on its platform.

Salesforce president of technology Srinivas Tallapragada said, There's a robust startup ecosystem in Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The startup doesn't just have to be from Hyderabad, it can be from Bengaluru as well. As long as the talent is there, we will have no problem acquiring the company. He also said, We tend to invest in startups which either build on our platform or independent companies which will help the ecosystem through their product.

Salesforce has already acquired 45 companies out of which 10 companies were brought in 2016.
