Paytm Payment banks got Rs 218 crore funding

Paytm Payments Bank got Rs 218 crore funding from founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma and others. Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma has put Rs 111 crore, the parent of Paytm One97 Communications and One97 India Communications has put 107 Crore.

Previously Vijay Shekhar Sharma has sold 1% of his personal holding in Paytm's parent firm One97 Communications for about Rs 325 crore to invest in the payments bank. Currently Vijay Shekhar Sharma holds 51% stake in Paytm Payments Bank.

Paytm now run two separate entities, Paytm E-commerce and Paytm Payments Bank.
